Himalayan Quartz Crystal Buddha Statue

An amazing work of artistry and craftsmanship, this brass and Himalayan quartz crystal statue depicts Lord Buddha in the Bhumisparsa or 'calling the earth to witness' mudra. In this hand position, Buddha holds his left hand in his lap holding a crystal and his right is shown reaching down to touch the ground. This symbolises the exact time when, seated beneath the bodhi tree, Buddha defeated the army of the demon Maraby calling the goddess of the Earth, Sthavara, to witness his great acts of sacrifice.
