Cas Cas Shaker
About this product
Kashaka, also known as Asalato or Cas Cas shakers, are traditional African percussion instruments typically made from small gourds filled with seeds or beans. They’re played across West Africa, often by women and children, to bring rhythm and excitement to dances and celebrations. This lightweight instrument is held in one hand while the second gourd swings around to ‘clack’ against it, creating a distinctive, syncopated sound.
