Hand-Carved Nepalese Hanuman Mask
About this product
This expressive mask portrays Hanuman, the monkey god renowned for his strength, loyalty and devotion. Carved from wood and painted by hand, it captures Hanuman’s lively features and makes a bold addition to any wall.
Hanuman is a central figure in the Indian epic Ramayana and is honoured across the Himalayas for his selfless service. Masks of Hanuman are used in temple plays and festivals to tell stories of courage and faith. Having his image in your home can serve as a reminder of these virtues.
Each Hanuman mask is carved in Nepal by experienced woodworkers. We source these pieces through Fair Trade co-operatives that pay artisans fairly and support sustainable forestry. The result is a high quality, ethically produced artwork with a rich cultural story.
