These fascinating ceramic pieces depict Pakal the Great, a famous leader of the Maya city, Palenque. Pakal was responsible for building many of Palenque's most impressive palaces and temples and he ruled for 68 years. His tomb was uncovered in 1952. Each of these beautiful ceramics is made in Jalisco, Mexico.
